Stay beautiful in Monsoon

Monsoon is the time when your skin may sometimes behave abnormally. Suddenly the skin may gets oily or become dry and dehydrated. Many common problems of skin like pimples, skin eruption, and dandruff may take place. So a bit of special care should be taken to stay away your skin from hazards and also to look beautiful and elegant.

Some common problems and their remedies-

1. Humidity- The skin gets wet often in monsoon. It’s better to wash your face with an ice cube. Rub it on your face for 5-10 minutes. It may help you to lower your perspiration rate.

2. Pimples- If your skin is oily then you’re more prone to pimples. Wash your face with clean water thrice daily. Use any herbal astringent.

3. Skin eruption- During monsoon season the bacterial activities grow rapidly. Proper toning with a good herbal or natural toner can prevent skin infections and eruptions. Five drops chamomile oil mixed with 1 tsp milk is helpful to tone dry skin. Ten drops lavender oil mixed with 1 tsp water is helpful to tone oily skin.

Proper cleansing is very necessary in Monsoon

For dry skin almond paste or honey cleanser can be used. Take few almonds and crush them. Mix them with 2 tsp pf honey. Massage it on your face for 5-7 minutes and wash with clean water.

For oily skin ripe papaya pulp is quite effective to act as a natural cleanser.

Make your skin smooth and supple

Using a egg mask once in a week is quite useful for getting smooth skin. Mix 1 tsp of lime juice with 1 tsp of honey. Then add this mixture with white portion of egg. Apply it on your face and stay for 1 hour. Wash your face with tepid water.

I apply a gentle homemade face scrub which helps to remove dead cells and helps to build new fresh skin in every season. Make a paste with walnuts, milk and rose water. This paste would not get to thin, it would be grainy. Apply it on face and stay for 20 minutes. Then wash your face with clean tepid water. After using it I generally use a water-based moisturizer especially in monsoon. For monsoon using castor oil is also effective for cracked heels.

I love reading your tips and I try my best to do them. They are ------
    1. Cleaning your face with your regular face wash to keep your skin fresh and clean.
    2. Toning is a must essential in a day.During monsoon, a lot of airborne and waterborne microbes are let loose. So a good anti-bacterial toner will go a long way to prevent skin infections and eruptions.
    3. Women should use transfer-resistant lipsticks, waterproof cosmetics products like waterproof lip liners, waterproof eyeliners, waterproof foundation for monsoon makeup.

Some information I have taken from the site http://www.asmakhan.net/
