The fleshy and tasty fruit mango is quite nutritious. As per Ayurveda it balances all the three doshas and acts as an energizer. Mango is considered as the king of fruits. Ripe mango is sweet while the unripe one is sour, astringent and pungent.

Fat- 0.4%

Carbohydrates- 16.9%

Minerals- 0.4%

Fibre- 0.7%

Moisture- 81.0%

Calcium- 14 mg

Phosphorus- 16 mg

Iron- 1.3 mg

Now following are some healthy recipes with mango-

Phyto-Eats (Maca Noni) Banana Mango Smoothie

1 extra large mango
1 banana
1 cup soy milk or vanilla yogurt
1 tsp Phyto-Eats Maca Noni
1 tbsp agave
4 ice cubes

Add all ingredients to blender and press the pulse button until ingredients are smooth and liquid. Pour into glass and enjoy!

Phyto-Eats (Green Essentials) Pineapple Island Dream Smoothie

1 cup fresh pineapple
½ mango
1 banana
1 cup soy milk
1 tsp Phyto-Eats Green Essentials
1 tbsp honey
4 ice cubes

Add all ingredients to blender and press the pulse button until ingredients are smooth and liquid. Pour into glass and enjoy!

Water and its health benefits

Water is the most precious gift of Nature and without water a living organ can’t stay. Two-third part of our body weight is water. The major portions of our body have taken adequate percentage of water, like- blood has 83% of water, muscles have 75% and brain has 74% of water. Also our bones have 22% of water.

Lack of water in our body is responsible for creating dehydration. Brain becomes less active and our body feels tired and fatigue. Also water is very much responsible for making active our digestive system and flushing out the waste products from our body.

Water is also essential for supple and radiant skin. Water supplies hydration that our skin and hair crave. As it helps our internal organs to function properly so it affects our skin health and beauty.

Following are some helpful home remedies for skin where water plays an important role-

1. Squeeze lemon juice in a bowl of iced water. Splash this over the face, massage for five minutes and then wash off with water. This therapy is very useful for oily skin.

2. Mix half teaspoon of lime juice with one teaspoon of cucumber juice and a few drops of rose water. Apply on the face and neck and leave on for 15 minutes. Remove with water. This therapy is quite helpful for improving dull and greasy complexion.


Alzheimer’s disease and it’s natural remedies

Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia. Alzheimer’s the progressive disorder’s is a devastating disease characterized by progressive memory loss, cognitive decline and behavioral disturbances. Smoking, another name of death or you might say it like doing suicide. People who smoke know that what the dangerous ingredients they are inhaling ! But still they become unable to stop it. Why? Because they get addicted to nicotine and nicotine is a thing which is really tough to get rid of it once you get addicted. But a person with his/her strong mind and determination to quit can easily stop smoking. But determination is the main thing. You need to stick on it.

Diets and recipes for Cancer patients

Proper dieting for a cancer patient is very much important. There are several factors associated with diet of a person suffering with cancer. It’s a bit surprising but many people have cured their cancer using nothing but a massive change in their diet. The cancer diet is just as important as the cancer treatment.

Some important factors associated with your diets:

As chlorine destroys many phytonutrients with other nutrients so foods or vegetables should not be washed with tap water before cooking.
Green vegetables should be taken in ample amount. Along with green vegetables fruits must be eaten in huge amount. It’s always better to take fresh fruit juices whenever possible to get the required amount of nutrients. Fruit and vegetables may have a protective effect by decreasing the risk for some cancer types such as oral, oesophageal, gastric and colorectal cancer.

Preserved meat, salt preserved foods and very hot drinks must be avoided in cancer. Along with those alcoholic beverages is a must thing that should be avoided.

Peanuts and cashews both have too much fungus and thus should be avoided by the cancer patients.

Refined foods must be avoided whether it is refined sugar or refined grains.

Another must thing for a cancer patient is to drink plenty of water, as much as they can drink throughout the day.

Following are some recipes that can be used for cancer patients:

Banana Milkshake-

Take a whole ripe banana. Sliced it. Take 1 cup of milk. Pour the sliced bananas into milk and mix few drops of vanilla extract. Place them into a blender and blend them at high speed until the mixture gets smooth. Serve it!

High protein Milkshake-

Take 1 cup fortified milk and 2 tsp of your favorite syrup. Take ½ cup ice cream and ½ vanilla extract. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend at low speed for 10 seconds. Serve it!
