Some Psychological problems and their herbal remedies

Due to chemical imbalances in a human being’s system, psychological disorders can generate. Generally these differences may occur due to poor food habit, feeble digestion and irregular elimination of toxins. According to ayurveda, there are three doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) which maintain our biology. Imbalanced Vata leads to anxiety, insomnia, fright etc. When pitta is imbalanced, it creates anger and bad temper. And excessive Khapha regulates an individual towards depression and laziness. There are some other factors, which can even create mental disorders. One of the reasons is our fast and competitive lifestyle. The other major factors along with the above mentioned factors are the daily routine, external environment, work pressure etc.
One can easily avoid all these disorders by:
a). Improving their diet chart
b). Regular or frequent use of ayurvedic massage oil to eliminate toxins
c). Try to balance the work pressure and even other external environment.
d). Yoga and exercise in regular basis can build up concentration and helps to reduce stress and anxiety. It even strengthens respiratory system as well as digestive system.

Herbs, which are use to aid in psychological disorders, are:

I. Valerian: generally it is helpful for insomnia patient.
II. Hops: usually it has been use to aid indigestion. It is also useful for restlessness, sleep disorder and anxiety.
III. Chamomile: it is used to treat mild sleep disorder of children.
IV. Passionflower: it can lessen anxiety.
V. Lemon Balm: this herb is suitable to relieve from insomnia and anxiety.
Nowadays, essential oils are used to recover from cognitive disorders.

For a glowing skin, some of the masks which are absolutely herbal based are as follows:

1. Make a thick paste of sandalwood powder with rose water and then apply it onto your face for atleast fifteen minutes or till it dried. Then wash off.
2. Mix half a cup of yoghurt with a spoon of honey and one forth piece of a ripe banana. Apply this mask on you face and even on your neck and then rinse your face well after twenty minutes.
3. Make a creamy paste of sliced pumpkin, egg yolk and milk. Apply all over your face and let it dry for about half an hour. Then, wash off you face with lukewarm water.
4. Stir honey and milk continuously till it becomes creamy. Apply it on to your face and after fifteen minutes, rinse your face well with lukewarm water.
5. Mix a cup of honey with your bathing water to a soft, smooth and glowing skin.
6. With a one forth cup of ground oatmeal, mix a tablespoon of lemon juice and a tablespoon of yoghurt and apply all over the face. After twenty minutes, wash your face well with lukewarm water.
7. Mix turmeric powder, gram flour and rose water. Apply on the face for twenty minutes and then wash well.
8. With one third cup of cocoa, add three spoon of heavy cream, one forth cup of honey, one third cup of ripe papaya and three spoon of oatmeal powder. Mix it well and apply it all over the face for minimum ten minutes and then wash your face with lukewarm water.
9. Prepare a paste of mint leaves and almonds. Mix this with warm water and apply all over your body. Leave it till it dries and then rinse well with warm water.
10. Mix pineapple juice and carrot juice together in 1:1 quantity. Apply this mix on your face using a cotton balls. Leave it for fifteen minutes and wash your face with lukewarm water.
