Hair: an asset for a beautiful woman

For women, hair is an asset. So, proper care should be taken to maintain this delicate stuff which makes women beautiful and gorgeous. Hairs are of three basic types: normal, oily and dry. Normal hairs are those which do not get oily too often and are easy to maintain. They hardly face split end problems. Eating too much greasy foods and chocolates can result in oily hair. So, this kind of hair should be washed more often to avoid dirt which gets clogged onto the hair and thus resulting in damage and breakage of hair. If the hair is dry, wash it twice a week with a mild shampoo. But before washing the hair, make sure to massage with herbal based hair oil. Some of the home based remedies which are wonderful for hair care are as follows:
1. To reduce excess oiliness from oily hair, thoroughly beat the egg white (as per requirement) and apply it all through the hair. Once it becomes parch, wash off with warm water and herbal based shampoo.
2. Blend 2 tsp of coconut paste, 3 tsp of mustard oil and one egg. Apply it meticulously on to the hair and wash off after an hour. This will not only make the dry hair controllable, but also bright and silky.
3. For shiny and soft hair, apply a paste of 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and 3 tablespoon of sour cream; and then wrap the hair with a towel. After 30 minutes, wash the hair with a shampoo and rinse off well.
4. For improving hair growth, massage the hair with warm coconut oil and almond oil; and alternatively, massage it with castor oil and almond oil.

versatile feature of Amla

Amla or Amlaki is also known as Indian Gooseberry, which is highly rich in vitamin ‘C. It is having antibacterial properties and its astringent properties help in curing ulcers and even prevent some infections. Amla contains precious elements which help to prevent aging. Maharshi Chyawan used Amla to rejuvenate himself in his late 70s. Other than heart diseases, Amla also helps to cure diabetes, eye problems, and respiratory disorders. It even aid to strengthen the liver and get rid off toxins from the body.
Amla works wonder as a hair tonic, which is used for enriching hair growth. To prevent graying of hair, boil dry amla in coconut oil and apply it on to the hair. For nourishing hair, soak overnight the dried amla in water and use it for the last rinse while washing the hair. Its paste is even applied to get relief from various skin disorders.
According to Ayurveda, Amla, Haritaki and Behada together which is known as Triphala, is an excellent herbal remedy for ‘Tridosha’ i.e. Vata (wind), Pitta (bile) and Kapha (mucus).
