Triphala- wonderful formula of Ayurveda

Triphala a mixture of Amlaki, Haritaki and Behada is a wonderful ayurvedic formula having a great medicinal value for the following diseases:

1. Constipation

2. High blood pressure

3. Malfunction of Liver


Triphala is great for cleaning gastro-intestinal tract. It detoxifies the whole body and improves blood circulation. Besides reducing high blood pressure it is also considered as a good cardio protective medicine.

An excellent bowl regulator having the highest nutritional value makes it one of the most effective ayurvedic preparations in the world. According to ayurveda, Triphala is an excellent herbal remedy for ‘Tridosha’, i.e vata(wind), pitta(bile) and kapha (mucus).

  • Amla- Sour in taste. Helpful for liver congestion, constipation. It is a rich source of vitamin C helpful for cough and cold. It is a mild antibacterial in nature. It maintains a balance amongest three doshas (vata, pitta and kapha)
  • Haritaki- Bitter in taste. Helpful for Anxiety, nervousness, constipation. It’s applicable mainly for the vata dosha.
  • Behada- Primary taste of behada is astringent and secondary taste is sweet, bitter and pungent. It has a balancing formula for kapha dosha. Helpful for the treatments of asthma, allergies etc.


Triphala is also useful for obesity. Daily use of it can help you to lose weight without much changing in your diet. Conjunctivitis, myopia, early stage of cataracts can be curable by triphala also.

Turmeric for healthy and beautiful skin :

Most of the Indian dishes contain turmeric powder. Apart from increasing the taste of the food it can also be used for skin care.
Turmeric is very useful for making skin fair and beautiful. It also increases the tonal value of skin. Different skin problems like pimples, acne and rashes can be cured by using turmeric cream. It is anti-pyretic and anti-inflammatory in nature.

Curcumin the substance is mainly responsible for giving turmeric its yellow colour. Turmeric powder can be used with cucumber and lemon juice as an excellent skin whitener. It can be used for all type of skin. Mixture of sandalwood paste along with olive oil, honey and turmeric is effective in rejuvenating dry skin.
